A CAPTIVATING MUSICAL EVENT AT AGE CARE CALAHONDA COFFEE MORNING
Over eighty clients, visitors and volunteers at Age Care Association’s Day Centre Coffee Morning held at Calahonda International Baptist Church last Tuesday were entertained by a group of enthusiastic men and woman singers called ‘New Wave Harmony’ who kindly and generously volunteered their time to produce a diverse musical concert to delight all. It was their first public performance and they certainly had the audience captivated with not only their singing, interesting, information about the songs and their light-hearted presentation dashed with humour.
The Group basically sing ‘A Cappella’ in a four part harmony without background music. However, a few songs which the audience were encouraged to participate were accompanied by the piano. They sang many songs in different formations and from a wide variety of decades including, Under the Boarthe dwalk, Can you feel the Love Tonight from the Lion King, Mary Lou, Breaking up is Hard to Do and some Abba, The Beachboys, Queen and a beautiful rendition of Unchained Melody from the film Ghost which captivated the audience.
Everybody enjoyed the concert and the whole morning and left extremely happy. Age Care would like to thank ‘New Wave Harmony’ for a wonderful morning.
