CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS


There are huge number of clubs and organisations in the Province of Malaga involved in providing help and advice to older people in need. Age Care Association have for some years been caring for the older English speaking expatriates on the Costa del Sol and inland. The lists below are a few groups who have a caring philosophy.

* Branches of the Royal British Legion offer support and when necessary financial help to those have served in the British Armed Forces and dependants.
* Royal Air Force Association – A registered Charity which provides welfare support and comradeship within RAF family.
* The International Association of Lions Clubs has branches on the coast. They are dedicated to providing help and funds for those in need. The Lions are a prime example of caring by the community for the community. Their activities and events can be found in the local press. Age Care has received donations from them to help others.
* The Spanish Red Cross (Cruz Roja) have branches in most towns and villages. They can offer many different types of help. Telephone numbers will be in a telephone directory.
* There are Masonic Lodges that have a tradition of helping and caring for people in need. Age Care has received donations from them on several occasions.
* The Arroyo Social and Welfare Club in Benalmadena. A club which in addition to social activities supports members by a range of welfare activities.

In most of the English Newspapers and monthly magazines along the coast they advertise events and clubs.
